If
a skater would like to skate on ice time in addition to their scheduled
times, or a member of another figure skating club would like to practice
on our ice, this is considered guest skating.
Any
skater wishing to guest skate is required to contact the SSSC President,
who can advise them if there is space. For safety purposes, the SSSC
has determined the maximum number of skaters allowable on the ice
at any one time.
Every
guest skater must be a member in good standing at their own skating
club, and be able to provide their Skate Canada number for insurance
purposes
This
year we are trying something new! Instead of collecting cash from
guest skaters each Saturday, we are going to use a punch card
system. Punch cards are purchased (pre-paid) for the number
of Saturdays you intend to skate (if not sure, we recommend purchasing
4 days to get started). Cards will be kept on file at the Southampton
arena and punched each Saturday that you show up. To purchase a card,
please speak to an executive member or your coach.
If
you use up your pre-paid amount, you can pre-pay an additional number
of days. Any pre-paid amount not used during the season will be refunded
at the end of the season. If you exceed your pre-paid amount and have
not "topped up" your card, you will be billed for guest
fees owing. (Note: As always, all outstanding fees must be
paid in full in order to be eligible to test and/or compete!).
