Guest Skating
If a skater would like to skate on ice time in addition to their scheduled times, or a member of another figure skating club would like to practice on the Club's ice, this is considered guest skating.
Any skater wishing to guest skate is required to contact the SSSC President, who can advise the skater if there is space. For safety purposes, the SSSC has determined the maximum number of skaters allowable on the ice at any one time. Every guest skater must be a member in good standing at their own skating club, and be able to provide their Skate Canada number for insurance purposes. |
Instead of collecting cash from guest skaters, a punch card system is being used. Punch cards are purchased (prepaid) for the number of times the skater intends to skate. Cards will be kept on file at the Southampton and Port Elgin arena and punched each ice time that the skater attends. To purchase a card, please speak to an executive member or your coach.
If the prepaid amount is used, additional sessions can be purchased. Any prepaid amount not used during the season will be refunded, or can be carried forward into the next season. If the prepaid amount is exceeded and not "topped up", the skater will be billed for guest fees owing. As always, all outstanding fees must be paid in full in order to be eligible to test and/or compete.
Fees: $10 per hour for SSSC Members; $15 per hour for non-members
